The MBA CET (Common Entrance Test) is a key entrance exam for admission to MBA/MMS programs in Maharashtra and some other states in India. The exam is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. Based on MBA CET scores, candidates can secure admissions in top business schools in the state, primarily through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

1. Eligibility:
   • A bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories).
2. CAP Process:
   • After MBA CET results, the CAP rounds are conducted for seat allocation.
   • Candidates should list their preferred colleges during the counseling process.
3. Cutoff Trends:
   • JBIMS typically has the highest cutoffs (99.9+ percentile).
   • SIMSREE and Welingkar also have high cutoffs (98+ percentile).
4. Seat Reservation:
   • Maharashtra State candidates have category-wise reservation benefits.
   • Other State candidates are admitted through the All India Quota.
5. Program Fees:
   • MMS programs offered by government and semi-government colleges are more affordable than private PGDM programs.
