100 Marks in MAH CET-MBA/MMS: Is It Enough to Secure a Top Spot?

  • Com 0

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) for MBA/MMS, commonly known as MAH MBA CET, is a state-level entrance exam for admission into MBA and MMS programs in Maharashtra. The total marks for the exam are 200, and scoring 100 marks means securing 50% of the total score.

Whether 100 marks are good depends on multiple factors, including the competition, cutoff trends, and the ranking of the desired colleges. In MAH MBA CET, admissions are based on percentile rankings rather than raw scores. A score of 100 typically falls in the range of the above 90 percentile, depending on the difficulty level of the exam and the performance of other candidates.

For admission into top B-schools like JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA, or Welingkar, a much higher score—usually above 140–150—is required. However, 100 marks can still secure admission to mid-tier or lower-ranked MBA colleges. Institutes with lower cutoffs may accept candidates in this range, particularly for reserved category students who have relaxed cutoff criteria.

Additionally, students who score around 100 can improve their chances by performing well in the CAP (Centralized Admission Process) rounds and selecting colleges strategically.

Overall, 100 marks in MAH MBA CET are average but not competitive for top-tier colleges. If a candidate aims for prestigious institutions, they should target at least 130+ marks. Otherwise, they can explore decent colleges that accept scores around 100.
