Description:
The AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). ATMA scores are used for admission to MBA, PGDM, MCA, and other management programs in various business schools across India. The exam is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

Exam Structure:

- Verbal Skills – I:

- Total Number of Questions: 180 questions (30 questions per section).
- Scoring: Each correct answer is awarded 1 mark, and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes : 30 minutes for each section).
Scoring and Percentile:
- Total Score: The maximum score is 180.
- Percentile: Candidates receive percentile rankings based on their performance relative to other test-takers.
Test Availability:
- Frequency: ATMA is conducted multiple times a year, typically in February, May, July, and August, providing flexibility to candidates.

Selection Process:
- ATMA Score: Institutes use the ATMA score as a criterion to shortlist candidates for further rounds of the selection process.
- Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and/or Written Ability Test (WAT): Shortlisted candidates are invited to these rounds, depending on the institute’s admission process.
