The GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) is your gateway to graduate, business, and law schools. This internationally recognized test assesses your verbal and quantitative reasoning, as well as analytical writing skills—key abilities for success at the graduate level. Originally created by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), the GRE has become more accessible over time. It has been shortened to under 2 hours, half the duration of the previous format. Recent updates have simplified the test even more: the ‘Analyze an Argument’ task has been removed from the Analytical Writing section, and both the Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning sections now feature fewer questions. Additionally, the unscored section is no longer part of the exam.
